Making Dental Care More Affordable at Dailley Dental Care
The reality of healthcare today is that patients are paying increasingly higher insurance premiums and copayments for their medical and dental care, while at the same time they have been watching their benefits steadily decrease. Dental insurance maximum annual benefit levels are still where they were 40 years ago, yet the cost of dentistry has been increasing annually over that same period. The result has been a growing disconnect between the annual maximum benefits insurance policies provide and the real cost of dental care today. This of course has resulted in larger out of pocket costs for patients.
In 2016 we implemented our own in-house dental plan to help minimize out of pocket costs, and ultimately make dentistry more affordable for our patients. It was initially intended for patients who did not have dental insurance and it became highly popular with our non-insured patients. Almost all of our uninsured patients are utilizing this plan.
After examining many factors such as the cost of insurance premiums, maximum annual benefit limits, insurance restrictions, and the copayment amounts patients are paying, we determined that our in-house dental plan would be of benefit to not only those patients who are uninsured but also for many that are insured.
Our plan provides most preventive care appointments and procedures with no out of pocket costs at a significant discount for a low flat annual fee. It also provides a discount on all other dental care ranging from simple fillings to cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and implant dentistry. The savings can be quite large, and even if you have existing dental coverage the resulting savings from combining our in-house plan with your existing plan would more than pay for the annual premium of the in-house plan. In fact many patients have found that they actually make money combining our in-house plan with their existing insurance policy. After examining the premiums being paid to their insurance companies and the limits on their benefits, many of our patients have been opting to drop their existing employer sponsored dental insurance for our in-house dental plan.
Dental insurance can be very confusing to those who don’t work with it every day so if our in-house plan is of interest to you please contact our office and one of our trained staff members will help to determine if our in-house plan would be beneficial to you, and what kind of savings our in-house dental plan can provide you.
